Wooden jewellery box with fused glass detail. The beautiful colours of the glass insert compliment the wood and are all handmade by Oriel Hicks at Phoenix Studios on St Marys, Isles of Scilly. The wooden boxes are turned by Stuart Mackin on his home lathe in West Cornwall.

Oriel has worked with glass as a medium for thirty years and is inspired by the unique light, colour and natural environment of her island home. She experiments with many different techniques and processes including Tiffany, traditional leaded lights, etching and fused glass and her work is constantly evolving.
