Daisy Davis
Growing up on St Martin’s, Daisy Davis has always been surrounded by creativity, as the island draws artists from far and wide and both her parents are jewellery makers (her mother founded Fay Page Jewellery in 2002). Daisy therefore developed an appreciation for using her hands to create beautiful art and craft from a young age.
Despite her familial ties to jewellery making, Daisy has found herself inexorably drawn to the world of printmaking. Inspired by the boundless possibilities of the medium, she has embarked on a journey of exploration.
Working primarily in lino, Daisy has also turned her hand to screen printing and, more recently, making collographs. She likes to capture the landscape of her island home and the whimsical beauty found within it. For our ‘Scilly in Print’ show at Tamarisk Gallery, she has created these timeless collographs of iconic Scilly scenes at night.
Currently studying at Falmouth School of Art, Daisy is honing her craft and refining her artistic voice. In a world filled with noise and chaos, Daisy Davis's prints serve as quiet reminders of the beauty that surrounds us, inviting us to pause, reflect, and find solace in the natural world.
