Nancy Pickard

Nancy Pickard was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil but grew up on Guernsey before going to the Central School of Art in London and then on to Cardiff Art College where she studied ceramics.

She first taught herself to make enamelled silver jewellery over twenty years ago while she was bringing up her young family in Cornwall. She is now based in South Devon and continues to make a wide variety of jewellery, paintings and sculpture from her home workshop. All her jewellery is made from recycled silver and she draws on ancient artefacts and historical designs for inspiration, as well as the tropical plants which grow in abundance throughout the South West.

Nancy Pickard loves colour and texture and enjoys experimenting with different shapes and materials. Each piece of jewellery she creates is handmade and unique.
