Piers Lewin

Piers Lewin lives on the tiny island of St Agnes in the Isles of Scilly and turns pieces of washed up driftwood or wood grown on the island into beautiful bowls, lamp bases and candleholders on his lathe. Piers retains the organic feel of the wood with a natural finish such as St Agnes beeswax or a food-safe oil like hemp or flaxeed. 

Piers is a skilled artist and carpenter and has also converted much of Tamarisk gallery into an interesting and creative space through repurposing old wood from boat sheds and beaches across Scilly.
