Sian McGill is an expressive and intuitive painter based in Wales but a regular visitor to the Cornish coast. We invited Sian over to Scilly last summer and this painting forms part the body of work she created following her visit. Despite her loose style, her expert use of shape and colour mean that her paintings are still instantly recognisable of a place and evoke in the onlooker a memory of summertime and island life.
