This fused glass 'Pebble Dish' has been created in Scilly by local glass artist Oriel Hicks. The dish was made by creating glass pebbles in the kiln and then fusing them together. The final piece is then 'slumped' into a dish shape in the kiln at a lower temperature. The images show how the dish might look but please be aware that each dish is uniquely created.
Oriel has worked with glass as a medium for thirty years and is inspired by the unique light, colour and natural environment of her island home. She experiments with many different techniques and processes including Tiffany, traditional leaded lights, etching and fused glass and her work is constantly evolving.
