Julia Marston
Julia Marston grew up in Cornwall and now resides in South Devon. She is a regular visitor to the Isles of Scilly. Julia became a silversmith when she was looking for a particular piece of jewellery that she wanted but couldn't find... so she enrolled in a silversmithing workshop and made it herself!
Julia started making jewellery in 2011 and hasn't looked back. She now creates a range of earrings, necklaces and bangles in recycled sterling silver. Her preference is for chunky, substantial, statement jewellery and her pieces are all a good weight, bright and sparkly and hang well. Her larger pieces, such as her bangles, are all hallmarked.
Julia is inspired by the sun reflecting on the water on her trips to the Isles of Scilly and tries to recreate this in the hammered texture of her earrings and necklaces and the way they reflect the light. She also loves the forms she finds in nature uses a variety of processes to create natural texture and pattern in her jewellery.
