Lewington Exhibition
Mother and daughter duo Sue and Leah Lewington exhibit their watercolours, mixed media, precious metal jewellery and delicate, copper and silver boxes, inspired by a windswept trip to Scilly during Easter 2024.
Sue and Leah both have ties to the Isles of Scilly, particularly St Martin's, since Sue lived there for many years, a familiar face behind the counter of her own gallery at North Farm.
Sue now lives and works in Cornwall, painting familiar, rugged coastal scenes and teaching bookbinding. She still visits Scilly frequently and her practice continues to evolve. She experiments with a wide range of media depending on her mood and what the piece calls for and she is currently working on loosening up her style and creating more abstract shapes and marks.
Leah also lives and works in the same corner of windswept Penwith in Cornwall, creating her silver and gold jewellery from her home studio, often to a customer's own specification. All her work is unique and carefully crafted by hand.
Below is a selection of currently available work from their exhibition. If you would like to view additional pieces, please contact us for further information and images.
