600mm x 600mm (72mm x 720mm framed size)
Abstract painting of Pentle Bay Tresco, with sand dunes and St Martin's in the background.
Daniel Cole's primary passion is wildlife, namely birds, and he is a member of the Society of Wildlife Artists (SWLA). He prefers painting from life and likes to go out on location to make sketches and drawings before returning to his studio to create the final artwork. More recently he has been working on landscapes and has visited Scilly from his home in Cornwall in order to create a body of work for Tamarisk Gallery. He experiments widely with colour and shape and allows his paintings to evolve naturally.
