Anita Reynolds works from her South Devon studio and divides her time between printmaking and painting. Her links with Cornwall and The Isles of Scilly have become stronger since she became a visiting tutor at The Newlyn School of Art. She shows her dynamic monoprints at the gallery. These are one-off, original, hand-pulled prints made on her printing press.
When visiting Scilly, Anita has been inspired by the uninhabited island of Samson and 'Tidelines on Samson' shows the ever changing relationship of the sea with the rocks, weed and sand.
Anita creates her unique, one off prints by carefully building up layers of ink using the mark making and processes she has developed over the years; each interpretation is different and she never knows exactly how the final artwork will turn out until it is complete. This is a large, one off print signed by the artist.
