Imogen Bone

Imogen Bone is a contemporary impressionist painter based in West Penwith, Cornwall. She spent ten years living on St Mary’s in the Isles of Scilly where she established herself as an artist following a degree in Illustration at Falmouth College of Art. She has gone on to complete a master’s in Art and The Environment and regularly collaborates on community-based projects such as joint ownership orchards and the City of Lights lantern festival. A renowned artist in Cornwall, Imogen is also a tutor at Newlyn School of Art.

“I fell in love with Cornwall, and the sea. Being lucky enough to be in a rowing crew I get to see the coast from the sea too. The ocean is an endless source of inspiration; the winter seas and storms offer up a palette of opaque greys, greens and purples. The summer takes us through open clear skies and sparkling translucent waters putting those turbulent winter times behind us.”
